KELUAR SIGN IS OUT!!

"OUT! " or in Malay, it called "KELUAR" …..

I never felt so much on this word "Out" before … but it means a lot to me now.

Finally the news are out that the Putra Place, a place that owned office tower, retailed outlets and The Legend Hotel have changed ownership. It has changed from my present employer to another company who had successfully bought over the whole property.

With the change of ownership, it affected  many thing, every single bit and bytes of the businesses right up to the morale of staff. Uncertainty set in and many staff are worry loosing their jobs.

Today devotion, God word comes in handy and timely … It talked about Job (READ: Job 38:1-11,31-33), which God reveal how great He is to Job (and me as well) about His power and might which He created this world and to observe His ability to control every element of it.

The tagline of the message: He who holds the stars in space holds His people in His hands …

Wow, thank you Father God, you are great!! Isn't that the reason good enough for me to trust You? I should not worry too much as many times in the past have proven God has been taking care of me… I thank God for speaking to me and encourage me in this moment.

One again,

He who holds the stars in space holds His people in His hands. This is God who creates the heaven and earth, He surely can be trusted. If He has the stars in His hands, surely He can take care of us as well.

Praise God for that, hallelujah ….

Blame facebook for your failed marriage?

Wife said "Hey, sayang, you CANNOT play facebook from now onward?"

"Why?" asked Husband.

"For the sake of me and the kids loh, Dear .."

Husband turned around stare at his wife with big question face  (^___^??) …

Wife smile and said "Dear, our Senator was saying FB cause the rising of divorce cases"

" Ha! (> ~~ <!!)…????

Husband's jaw dropped …

month open wide with a hole ….

and Speechless ………...

(The above conversations were reported happen in many parts of Malaysia) …. LOLz

…………………………………………………………………….

Today Newspaper (28 April 2011) – The STAR reported Senator Ahmat Husin blamed Facebook for the increase in divorce case …

First thing in the morning when I read about this news, I immediate type his name and Google for image of our "beloved" Senator wanting to see how he looked like ….

Ha! Ha! Ha!  …. K-Poh attitude strive again lah !!

I do that is not to check whether is he liang cai (handsome) or not … but just want to match whether his face resembling to any of the images in my mind of a lusty looking old man with mind of nothing but filled with Sex and Lusty desires…. and also saliva dribble from his chin …. hehehehe

Unfortunately cannot find him …….

This reminds me some passed news for similar content that quoted by some leaders / politicians of our country, For example, blamed woman dressing that cause men lust !? or rape rates gone up !? …. one person said men have affairs as wives "neglect" her duty!? … I remember reading news about women should wear chastity belts to prevent rape crimes …. (If you don't believe it, type in all these key words and Google, Bingo!! you may find those news I mentioned about  ….. )

Come on, why a Senator had such a shallow mind …..

If your marriage is broken, don't blame facebook! Blame yourselves because it is YOU who are looking for sex in the facebook (or internet) !! Even if facebook not available, if man want to lust and sleep around, do you think he can't find a mean?  It is his characters or attitude to be blamed for not loyal to his wife, please don't simply blame others …..

I am a heavy user of facebook and I meet many genuine and kind hearted people. They are my friends now and we share common interest like photography. It is an insult to all of us who are using facebook. Please don't label us with dirty mind when you are dirty …

Goash … Malaysia Boleh again, now Malaysia is famous in the international scene if this news went abroad. People sure laugh at us for being narrow and shallow minded …

Wake up, leaders of the country … Please be vigilant of what you say out. So shameful lah!!

Early morning, kenal rant for it !!! Errrrr……

Photowalk - TT Session @ Ipoh on 23 April 2011

It was a sunny day in Ipoh on 23 April 2011, a group of young people including me (not so young one) is attacking Ipoh town with M16 …

Ops.... soli soli, is M6

Ops …. soli soli, is not Leica M6 too, that one only Yeow has it.

We attacked Ipoh with our Olympus PEN camera …. Because this is the day we the Oly Pen Lovers group are going to Ipoh for outdoor photo shooting session.

So,

For the sake of reaching Ipoh early, I force myself, with drag, pull & push myself out from my beloved bed at 5.00 am Morning. So crazy, I slept at 1.00 am, only 4 hours sleeping time …. goash !!

Who is so crazy waking up in the wee hours of the morning?

What better way than cradle inside a warm bed dreaming with your love ones on a Saturday morning!!?

Well, I bet there are another nine friends who are like that ! So CRAZY!!

…………………………………………………………………………..

At about 9.00 am, we are enjoy a good breakfast in the famous Kedai Kopi Kong Heng at Ipoh Old Town. The famous food there is the Kai Si Hor Fun (shedders Chicken Noodle Soup.). Off course we also tried other famous food like satay, popiah and many more ….

Ipoh town is famous with heritage buildings, many are built before World War II, some buildings even built much earlier. These buildings are classic and simply gorgeous. I hope the state government would spend more times and money to enhance and preserve this place …

This place is the assets for all rakyat of Malaysia.

Although Ipoh did not gain the recognition of World Heritage site but this is another place that the Malaysian Government should be responsible to ensure the heritage buildings are preserved with proper care so that our next and next next generations would enjoy the beautiful architecture works of the olden days.

TT is very fun especially when joining a group of fun people. After numerous times of TT together, basically, we are quite “Soub” (Cantonese word meaning knowing each other) … so we would tease each others with candid shots, photo trick or even make fun one another by pulling legs or hair … ops, just kidding, over exaggerate on the second part of the sentence … no pulling legs or hair, okay! We are Gentlemen and Ladies mah.

hehehehe …

Beside the street shot at old town, we visited KTM (Keratapi Tanah Melayu) Railway Station. A magnificent place that had a name called Taj Mahal in Ipoh by the locals. The building was built by a “Quow Loh” (Westerner), Arther Benison, an architect from British in 1935.

Part of the building was housed the Majestic Hotel, which famous in Ipoh at one time, but unfortunately, when we reached there, it was closed with terrible abandon sites .. Although the entrance was covered with plywood, but it looked terribly in the eyes of the public, more so a place that attracts overseas tourists.

What a lousy management …. don’t know who to blame !!

Nevertheless, the ugly sites of KTM building had became our targeted places for photo shooting ….

We also went into the railway platform to take some shots and meet up some friendly people. I saw a kid playing with one of my friend DLC, the "Tai KoKo" both look so innocent, so I capture the moment ....

and also meet a guy sleeping .... so I am thinking... "Is 1 Malaysia also sleeping ?" Hahahaha ...

Time passby fast, especially when we are enjoying ourselves. It almost 3pm plus and we rushed to the Kallies castle … a well known haunted castle that the spirit of Mr William Kellie Smith (the owner) wondering around at the 2nd floor corridor and his wife Agnes, wearing a white blouse and curly hair sitting at her old bedroom. Phantom smells of incense and spirits have been reported and the castle possesses hidden rooms and secret underground tunnels that made people wondering about all these ramous ….

Whatever is it, we did not experience anything …  In the bright day light and our noise and laugher can scare away any ghost in the world … hahahaha

It is a wonderful site for photo shooting.

One thing for sure … many wedding photography were taking in this place.

How come no one say …..

"CHOI~ TAI KA LAI SI ...." .... hahahaha

Lastly, I just wanted to thank all my buddies in PEN LOVERS group who have supported the Ipoh TT ....  Although I know many of you still not "enough" ... (from the look of you guys' face). Anyway, time is getting late and maybe we plan again in our future TT .....

Last, may I introduce you the Founder of PEN LOVERS GROUP IN FB ... MR KOON YIT CHIN .... and the "calefee" the humber Me-Loh   ^,~   (by the way, if you are PEN users, you may search under group called 'PEN LOVERS" .....  and join us in our next T.T).

The End.

A Farewell Letter to my Pany

My TT (Photowalk Session) at Ipoh is almost near perfection if I didn't lost my Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens. I have no idea how it got missing? Could it dropped some where when I walked around, or could I leave it some place and forgotten to pick it up?  The worst, could it be taken by someone? (Bless you if you really did that!!)

Nevertheless, only when lost something or someone that important in life, then we realize many things we have taken for granted.

I should have bought good cameras bag with compartmentalize design which gives better storage space for my lenses, it eliminates the opportunity of dropping out accidentally. But because I wanted to save cost, I ended up losing more……

I should have checked my lenses each time I took it out, but many a time, I took for granted and assuming it always be there for me …

If I have been more diligent in my properties, I would have eliminated the possibility of losing it …

What good is it to think  . . . .

"If I …" or "I should have ...."

Someone did say this (or I am the one who say)  . . . .

"If the old doesn't go, the new will never comes!!"

Walau-er !! I want to knock whoever said that …. the problem is my lens is brand new which is less than 6 months and if you know lenses, you would know how much it cost !!!

Anyway what good is it to say more?

Last thing that I can do it to write a goodbye letter to my lost (be loved) lens

…………………………………………………………………………………..

"Dear Pany Lens …

You departed me sooner than expected. I know everything in this world is perishable in time, but you are leaving me too soon. Yes! is damned too soon …..  Well, no point grieving about it, time to put down, time to forget, time to let you go and let my mind rest in peace. You are good companion and the only regret is that I did not use you often and did not even use you in my Ipoh TT … what a mistake I had done for letting you alone … (you protested is it by MIA from me!? Goash!! )

Well, you have served your purpose by bringing me many nice photos though it was a short time …. I truly missed the Bokeh that you bring me, Things becoming so attractive and beautiful through your body … I missed you .....

Lastly, I just want to say thank you.

Regards, your owner"

…………………………………………………………………………………

Okay, Done!!

Time to look for a new lens !!!!!!! Hahahaha .....

"in mind shouted BUY BUY BUY ...."

"pocket shouted NO NO NO ...."

Herrrr~~~~!

A Good Friday Story

Many years ago, I remember seeing a drama on a stage. There was a wicked man who cheated and hurting many people that cause many people in pain and suffering …. One day, he got caught and prosecuted … The stage then changed to a court room scenario. The defending lawyer was trying very hard to help this man but because of the evident is so obvious; the Judge concluded a judgment order with a dead sentence.

At that moment, the lawyer stands up and appeals to the court order that willing to die on behalf of the man  .. Hor !!? How can it be ?? No one has a sound mind would do this, right !!?

Well, off course this is unreal and just a drama play. But again, aren't we heard many true stories of people scarifying their life in order to safe their loved ones … In an emergency case that life threatening, a mother (or father) would let her son save first before saving her. I remember I came across of these touching stories in newspaper before but unfortunately I can't remember the details...

But again, this is possible especially the person is your loved ones. I believe, mother of a cancer child would have the thinking of "What not me that suffer?" when she saw her child in pain …. isn't it?

So, would you be surprised that Jesus did the similar acts for us?

Bible tells us that Man and God were being separated by sin. God is a holy God and He cannot tolerate sin and for him the price for sin is death … just like the man who committed sin, the judgment is death sentence.

However, Jesus came to save us because he LOVES us. He came to die on the cross and paid the price of sins for human race; despite he did not commit any sins.

Only those who believe in him would receive this provision. The grace and love of Christ is so great. The scarified of Christ is sufficient for all but only is effective for those who trusted in him.

For your info, Jesus resurrected 3 days from his death. That why we celebrate Easter day.

So, my friends, if you happen to see this blog, please do not reject it, seek after Him.
because

He is the Truth, the Way and the Life ….

Good Friday Reflect

Well, Good Friday and Easter Day have special meaning to Christian.

It is not like most people will do .... celebrate with Easter Egg.

On the morning of Good Easter at 1.56 am, I realized I have neglected another blog with the title "My Faith". This is a blog that I want to write about the journey of me and Jesus Christ, that why I named it as "Daily Walk with Jesus ... " But my last post was in Nov 9, 2010, about 6 months ago. Man, am I not walking with Jesus in my daily life ? Am I neglected what is important in life ?

The best joke is I almost forgotten what my blog address is ... oh dear (knocking my head to the wall)

http://www.myfaith123.blogspot.com/

Emmmm....!!

Man, time to change!!

Looking forward the next TT @ IPOH

I am looking forward the Ipoh TT (Photo Shooting Session) at this coming Saturday. It has been a long break for me since I joined the previous TT with my photo buddies.

Now, I am doing my own count down … another 3 more days!!! Yeah~~ IPOH here I come!!!

Ipoh is not strange place to me although I don’t know many road directions, but is a place that has many childhood memories. I visited Ipoh almost every year end school holidays during my primary school time. My eldest aunty was staying in Ipoh and without failed, I would visit her and stayed at least 3 – 4 weeks in Ipoh.

One of my best childhood memories…

Ipoh – capital city of Perak State, it is located approximately 200 km north from Kuala Lumpur. It built on the land of Sungai Kinta that divided the town into two parts by the river, i.e., the Old and New Town.

Many photographers would love visit Ipoh because of their unique heritage building architectures. Many old buildings were built before the World War II. Until now, they are many buildings remained there. The shophouse architectures are full of richness of the culture of Chinese, Indian, British Colonial style or even Peranakan design which are perfectly for street shooting.

Another reason most people would love visit Ipoh is the yummy hawkers food. Almost every weekend, this place is crowded with many food hunters from Kuala Lumpur and Penang because of Ipoh strategic location, right in between of these two cities.

Since I’m so K-poh to be the host sending event invitation to Pen Lovers group on this Ipoh TT, I better do some homework otherwise, “kenal” rotten eggs from friends “Kau Kau” if I didn’t plan properly … luckily I have some Pen Lover’s Kaki who are from “Ipoh Mari”, with their helps and advises, and also help from Mr Google, I managed to form some ideas what to do in Ipoh.

Har!! Finally, give birth-lah my TT itinerary, I hope everyone would be happy … heheh

6.30 am - All gather at Tesco Mutiara Kota Damansara (next to Curve)

6.45 am - To Leave Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh latest by 7am, and those who are late, soli-loh, please drive there directly. (Actually I afraid I am the late one … LOLz)

9.15 am – Base on the law abiding driver (like Yeow), I think we will “slowly” reach Ipoh by around 9.15am, then all of us will meet at Kedai Kopi Kong Heng.

10.30 pm – Start of the photo walk around old town, KTM station, Market etc

12.30 pm – We adjourn for Lunch. What to eat ? Well, is basing on the recommendation from the two pretty ipohan girls loh ….

2.00 pm – Suggest to do a quick tour at Kek Look Tongchecking on the limestones.

3.00 pm – Then we will move over to the Kellie Castle for some photo. Off course not forgetting to hunt for the 3rd tunnel and the ghost of  Mr William Kellie Smith .. hahaha…
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kellie's_Castle)

4.30 pm – Ipoh TT will end here but again for those who are hyper-active one, they can still continue their journey to explore more adventures ….. but that one is not my “pasar” liau !!

Wow .. I better stop …. damn tired liau …. anything, just call me loh. Okay !?  \\\  s(^j^)s ///

Visit FRIM - Forest Research Institute Malaysia

Weekend after weekend, I have been tied up with many works and appointments. I missed many T.T outings (photo shooting outing) with my friends. Seeing all those nice photographs from my friends at facebook or flickr … mentally “beh tahan” (cannot stand it) already, I scream to myself … I WANT TO TAKE PHOTO …. AH~~~!!!!

(BTW, just realize photography can be addicted … emmmmmm??? But I think is a good and healthy addiction-lah, .. hehehehe)

Therefore, I drove to FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia) last Sunday for some photo shootings. My secondary school is located next to FRIM. I am familiar to this place. But I think I have almost 20 over years not set foot there, there are many changes …. One BAD change I observed is the collection of entrance fee.. ah yoi .. So MONEY MINDED meh!!?

FRIM is a leading institution in tropical forestry research in Malaysia. It is located at Bukit Lagong Forest near Kepong which has about 486-ha of land, about 16km northwest of Kuala Lumpur.

This place is more than just a research institute, it has many recreation facilities for public and also tourists. You may find a community hall that allows people playing badminton and squash. This place is famous for joggers, it has jogging track that passing thru forest, I think is very interesting. You may also find a big football field there.

FRIM is very beautiful, it surrounded with nature. Based on their website, they have approximately 200,000 specimens. You may also find a canopy walk that built 30 meter above ground level and is 200 meter long. Thru the canopy, you are walking from one tree to another, if you don’t afraid of height, I think you would enjoy it. Unfortunately, I did not try because out of operating hours. Maybe next time …

Nevertheless, I walked to the nature trail which leads to the waterfall. This place is beautiful too, I love seeing all those giant trees. The waterfall up there is just fantastic. This place is suitable for family picnic or outing.

Let me share with you some photos that I took in FRIM…

Beside taking photo of trees, leaves and flowers only .... I took portrait shots too especially photo of people enjoy the waterfall ....

By the way, I meet someone having photo shooting and happen to have a model ... not sure whether is his girlfriend or someone ... I did not k-poh but my usual style, curi-curi take lah ... Not bad lah, I think, some of the photo turned out nice ... Let me share with you ...

I also meet some teenagers who are very sporting ... I took some of their picture including some jump shots. Although the photo is not sharp but it was fun looking at it.

hahaha .. I am happy after a good photo TT .... now, I am satisfied ....

Malaysia is Ninth Friendliest in the World

Today's News at the STAR (16 April 2011) : MALAYSIA IS NINTH FRIENDLIEST

Wow, impressive yeah !? We ranked number 9 on the top ten of the friendliest countries in the world … Yes, I mean the World! Neither region nor continent. The result was based on the survey done by HSBC over 4,000 people from more than 100 countries between April and June 2010.

We are so proud leh after all the nine countries that in the list are non-Asia countries. We are just behind countries of Canada, Bermuda, South Africa, United States, Australia, Spain, France and Britain …. The 10th is Germany.

For me, I do agreed Malaysian generally are friendly people except some small group people (especially those "ada duit" one) would show their nose pointing to the sky, eyes ball stuck at the forehead and with two big holes facing your face that you are so disgusted with the amount of hairs that make you feel like vomiting all food that you ate yesterday … LOL .. hehehe, a bit overly exaggerated.

After I picked up the hobby of street photography, meaning walking around the streets in Kuala Lumpur to capture photos of people and the surrounding, I meet many people from all walks of life. As a street photographer, our skin need to be "ticked" as elephant skin because you are taking photo at people that you don't know. You would never know after the "click" sound, will you get scolded by the person …. #$%^&#@@!!?

hahah… I bet all street photographers would experience this. If you haven't experience this before but you said you have done street photography, I doubt your "qualification" or you are just a liar, self denier or maybe dumb-dumb enough of not noticing people scolding you … hehehehe

Anyway, that category of people belongs to a small group only. I meet many people who are very friendly while I take their photo. When I smile at them and they will smile back to you.

I used to went out with my friends for photowalk, we love walking on the street especially places like Chow Kit, Petaling Street, Batu Road, Pudu and such. Many people won't mind us taking their photos, some even friendly enough to chat with us or even pose for us with a big smile.

Let check out some street photos that I took during my photowalk, they're showing us what is friendly is all about. It was a wonderful time to associate with them. Chat with them and make friends with them.

Yes, thank to those people, they are part of the contribution factor that made Malaysia a better place to live and also made Malaysia the ninth friendliest in the World.

Brovo, Malaysian …
